Kings are clearly better than the Bulls on offense, and even though I believe the Bulls are known as a good defensive team, the Kings’ defense looks far superior to theirs tonight.
Bulls’ announcers spending extended time describing how Fox orchestrates the Kings offense, motioning where players need to be, especially on that most-recent Barnes corner three.
He is being really aggressive in bringing the ball up the court and distributing and taking open shots when they are there if my eyeballs are working correctly. I am hoping you are right. Would be a big lift for the Kings along with Duarte’s improved play.
Weird. Didn’t watch the game but I checked the score in the 3rd and we were up by 20. I was thinking “we’re done with the late game meltdowns right? Right?”.
These games suck the life out of my fandom. Outscored by 18 in the 4th. The stupidest of turnovers all game long. Can’t get the ball inbounds? So many missed close shots.
Kings favored by 6.5 points. Looks like Fox was removed from the list as questionable. Expecting him to play.
Time to see if the magic from that players-only meeting is still working.
Fox on the court for the shootaround.
Posted this in the preview thread:
Good eye.
Let’s get off to a fast start. Go Kings!
Keegan’s defense on Caruso’s fast break. So impressive, yet also looking so casual.
Kings are not guarding Dosunmo
The Bulls definitely look better than their record.
what happens to Dosunmo if you take away his right?
HB at the line. more of that please.
Like to see Malik get going a little sooner tonight.
HB, Keegan, and Fox all driving to the hoop early on.
Malik Monk is a sick, sick man.
Kings are cookin tonight. This one might be over early.
Doing a good job denying and closing out on Coby White so far.
Lyles block on Caruso corner three!
And then a shot-clock violation.
Kings are clearly better than the Bulls on offense, and even though I believe the Bulls are known as a good defensive team, the Kings’ defense looks far superior to theirs tonight.
Caruso sucks tonight. Either that, or the Kings are making him look slow.
He was questionable coming in—hamstring.
I saw that he had been questionable and was just wondering if it was leg-related when you filled me in. Thanks.
One of the best single quarters of Kings basketball this season. Got a contribution from everyone.
Really good first quarter, especially Keegans defense.
Bulls after the first quarter:
HB cant defend Coby.
Duarte has been looking very very valuable recently
and then Duarte gives Dosunmo his right … and going middle
Hello Hello! Go Kings! Let’s go Sabonis!
Sabonis ain’t looking so hot tonight. Need to get him going
Damn Coby White gets extra lift for his dunks from that hair I think.
Would like to see Sabonis take it up the floor and leave Drummond in the dust.
Dosunmo drives right for an uncontested layup
Only way he can scote tonight
then stop it
The guy is good though.
so then, what happens when you take away his right?
Dosunmo drives right again for yet another uncontested layup
He’s a good player.
Just typing “stop it” or “take it away” doesn’t really work.
Basketball is hard.
Or I could just be wrong lol
does he have a left?
Alex Caruso heard Yakshi talking shit
Yeah, I take it all back. Despite playing injured, he has looked inspired on defense–although his offense remains a horror show.
What an ugly quarter so far. Awful turnovers, poor defense, and look lost on offense. No adjustments made in the quarter either.
Just a run spurred by some Caruso hustle. Cant expect it to last all game. Kings will punch back.
and they stopped defending Coby White. He has been fairly wide open this entire quarter.
Looked pretty tight to finish the quarter… Keegan playing smart.
what a crap 8 minutes to start the 2nd. 22-5 Bulls run. Reverse that and it’s garbage time at the half.
Impressive first quarter, slopping initial eight minutes of the second, seven point lead, despite nine turnovers and Domas only going one for nine.
Pretty good half.
Curious to hear what the Bulls announcing crew has to say in the second.
Stacy King for the Bulls was talking about DeRozan could only get one shot in the first half and how lousy Bulls’ transition defense is.
Kings kicking butt on rebounds and second-chance points.
They just said that Fox is third in the league in steals?
This might be one of the first times I have listened to an opposing teams’ announcers and learned something about the Kings.
Total steals leaders this season:
Seems like most of those have come since the break. But yeah, pretty impressive.
Bulls’ announcers spending extended time describing how Fox orchestrates the Kings offense, motioning where players need to be, especially on that most-recent Barnes corner three.
Two fabulous dimes by Fox.
Kings getting out the shovels. Do they win this one by 30+?
Lol
How quickly things can change. Defensive effort increased, got out on the fast break, moving again on offense, and a 19 point lead now.
OMG Fox is sequenced
Domas’s third-fourth dunk on the exact same play.
Bulls’ color: C’mon man, c’mon man!
Drummond with the Uber slows. Can’t stay with a running Domas, going hard into an empty lane.
Domas got tired of missing, so now he’s just dunking everything.
Dunkin’ Domas!
Think I saw that on a shirt somewhere…
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him dunk so much.
should have called Drummond for the foul there. and one
Fox was fouled on that last floater too. Bulls are going to need a new basket on this end of the floor after Domas is done with it.
Wonder what bet odds would be for a tied game by middle of the fourth quarter?…
Great now Len is breaking baskets
Kings bench is destroying the Bulls bench.
Davion has really started to figure it out
He is being really aggressive in bringing the ball up the court and distributing and taking open shots when they are there if my eyeballs are working correctly. I am hoping you are right. Would be a big lift for the Kings along with Duarte’s improved play.
I feel the overall team movement has been very good too. That certainly helps Davion.
Indeed.
Aggressive Davion getting to the mid range and slamming on the breaks for a jumper is good basketball. He should do that more
Davion seems to be playing with a lot more confidence.
It’s like he was told to be aggressive and stop thinking so much out there.
Fox being out for a couple of games helped him a lot, I guess, especially his 16 points in one of those games.
yes, and shooting his midrange jumper when it’s there.
Got a little sloppy there and compounded it by not draining good looks.
There is no lead safe in the NBA.
None. Zero. Nada.
Bibby is right, need to control the first four minutes of this next quarter. Someon has to slow Coby’s drives, just a little.
that’s not over and back?
Refs missed that and it cost Kings 3.
I think Domas tipped it away before he went over the line.
Ahh. I missed the replay.
Fox’s passing this game.
Trey has had a few good looks and missed and the shot looks flat
He has had good looks, maybe that reverse gets him going.
Drummond on Fox has to be one of the biggest mismatches I’ve ever seen.
Keegan should make all defensive team this year. Never seen such improvement from one year to the next.
Agreed. Each game he surprises defensively in some new way.
How about a flagrant foul?
yeah, both hand/forearms to the head
Plus three, arguably four fouls on a single player.
Domas will shoot 9 free throws
Haha. He should at least get a shot from each of three Bull fouls.
flagrant 1 on Vuc?
Come on Fox. Take this over with your mid range ten footers.
Damn, gonna come down to the wire again.
I love the La-Z-Boy play… brought to you by Pizza Guys
DeRozan has been displaying some elite shot making tonight. Fun to watch.
HB to the line
I was going to say give it to Harrison he can draw cheap fouls
shoot that, Lyles
They keep flashing something on the screen all throughout the game too quickly to read. It’s annoying, distracting and pointless. I don’t get it
Take the damn shot!
This team, Jesus.
Malik has been invisible in this quarter.
Wow what a complete and utter collapse
Can’t even be annoyed or angry. Just straight up disappointing. Turnovers and no rebounds.
Play in team.
Welcome to the forum
Fuck
This team is a joke. You knew this was a loss after the big win against the Twolves
Welcome
Team finds new ways to meltdown every week.
Game over. Took their foot off the gas in 3rd and paid dearly. White, Caruso, and DeRozan carried the Bulls to this W.
Caruso? Lol what?
Just try to enjoy playing out the string I guess. This team is going nowhere. Even if they get into the playoffs, they’re not a contender.
And? What’s new? That’s been the Kings 38 out of 39 seasons. And the 1 they were contenders, they choked spectacularly.
Lyles has to shoot that open three if he’s on the floor in the last two minutes.
Couldn’t agree more
Derozan scored as much in the 4th as the Kings team did.
all good moves by DeRozan. Coby White brought his A-game also.
RIP
Beat number one seed in the West without your starting point guard.
Lose next game two days later against a the Bulls at home.
Sigh, it’ll never change.
Should have played Davion more. lol
Brutal choke. This is why we can’t have nice things. Every single time we get a gutsy win we follow it up with a crappy loss.
So much for that players only meeting.
Weird. Didn’t watch the game but I checked the score in the 3rd and we were up by 20. I was thinking “we’re done with the late game meltdowns right? Right?”.

I put this one on coaching.
