The previous narrative for a lot of folks was “the Kings don’t need Fox to play at an elite level because the team was playing good.” That’s bullshit. If he’s an elite max player his style of play shouldn’t change so dramatically.
My theory is he needs the ball in his hand all the time to make things happen. Once you play him off the ball and have others bringing the ball up he loses his effectiveness.
Hoping for a split but man both the BUcks and Cavs just present so many problems for this Kings team with their size.
Down 7 at the half. Will need to be nearly mistake free to beat the Bucks. Winnable, though. Keep it close and try to steal it at the end.
Has any news broke about a Fox injury? Didn’t he say he wasn’t quite right in an interview or something?

My analysis through 3 quarters: not bad! Second chance opportunities have been killing us. I’ve liked the defensive effort for the most part. Try to get a quick foul on Giannis and see if you can steal this one!
It also doesn’t seem like the Kings have gotten out on the break much. They could use some of those easy buckets

Giannis really 2/2 from 3PT and 9/10 from the FT line. Players just can’t stop being their best shooting version of themselves whenever they face the Kings

Fox has looked like this for several games despite the Kings winning.
I feel the absence of TD tonight. I think his energy would have helped a lot. The team looks somewhat flat even though they have been close most of the game
I am impressed with the physicality they have played with. They don’t take crap anymore in that part of the game.
They just don’t have great size, and it was rather apparent tonight. It will be the same setting when they face Toronto.

Every time they get some momentum and get it to a one possession game, the Bucks answer back. They’re battling out there but they aren’t gonna win against any elite team if they aren’t getting the best version of Fox. The one out there right now clearly isn’t that, and it’s clear he’s hurting with how much he’s hobbling around
Haven’t gotten best version of Fox for a while but we weren’t playing the Bucks.
Which is why they’ve been still winning, but they arent’ beating these kinds of teams without the Star Fox version. Same thing happened against the Suns.

This Kings team has come a ways….and has a ways to go.

Stars get away with so much. The amount of no calls on giannis was crazy, and he gets a lot of calls that others just don’t. He should have fouled out early in the 4th, but instead he leads them to a victory.
It has always been a rigged game.
Not a really bad loss though
It was close most of the night, and they had a few chances to take the lead. But Milwaukee is just better and they know how to execute late. Never looked panicked.
Fox and Monk 2 for 13 from three. Usually not gonna win with stats like that.
Just a nightmare matchup for this team. Hung around for most of the game and battled though. Doesn’t get much easier with the Cavs next and the matchup problems they present for this Kings team. Gotta try and avoid starting this road trip 0-2
Good performance by the Kings on the road against a championship-caliber team.
The lack of bench scoring was a Kings millstone too.
Not gonna win shit scoring 8 points in the last six minutes of the game. Too much Holiday in the first half and too much Giannis in the second. Add in Lopez affecting the paint and it’s a loss. We kept hanging out in that 3-11 points behind range then Milwaukee’s experience finished it off. We’ve beaten CLE this season. Need to do it again. I wouldn’t have minded a 3-5 point loss, but that ending left a bad taste.
Keegan coming out of the rookie fog a little bit more each game.
The Bucks PBP lady (who I can’t remember her name for whatever reason) made a comment : “That looked like the Iowa Keegan Murray.”
She wasn’t wrong. Keegan’s dunk in the lane is easily my favorite thing I saw of him all night. I’ll take that as a silver lining for a game I never had much optimism the Kings had a chance in. Especially when Monk and Fox combine 2 for 13 from 3 pt land.
