The Jazz are giving the Mavs all it can handle in Utah. Jazz up 54-48 with 6:26 left in the 2nd.
And the Spurs are leading the Suns by 8 early in the 4th qtr!
We’re watching on YouTubeTV and there’s a lot of static breaks in the broadcast. Is that happening to anyone else?
Yes
It seems to be ok now.
Keep an eye out for Vivek’s jacket on TV tonight. You can’t miss it.
Paul Reed not starting
Maxey on Keegan? LOL okay then.
Lowry was going for the ball there with his off elbow into Sabonis’s face?
Late elbow as the ball was already well away from him, lol
Signature 2 handed Keegan dunk, lol.
Maxey with an obvious and blatant push off, no call
Coincidence that our two best defenders are leading the charge right now?
Spurs hold on to beat the Suns 104 – 102!
That wizards loss, ugh
Jazz up on the Mavs at halftime by five.
And no Wemby.
Take care of business tonight. Good start.
Offense has fallen apart and Fox needs to wake up.
Doesn’t help that Maxey can’t miss/is being left wide open
Well, here’s some good news tonight.
Looks like its Kings v. Mavs for #6. That Mavs schedule is SOFT. Gotta beat them at home.
Maybe they’ll trade for Fox this summer.
Heat check…Maxey is still boiling.
Maxey is really, really good!
put Davion on Maxey for a while?
They just gotta double him and force the ball to someone else.
Maxey continues to torch the Kings. 16 points. Fox is at 2. I don’t see the Kings winning this game. Harris will take his turn getting hot down the line. Then Buddy will step up and Batum will make some key plays.
Monk is back.
didn’t want to keep Davion out there to guard Maxey ?
I never understand why defenders don’t knock a hot player like Maxey to his ass when he gets in to the lane. Body up and make him feel that foul. Dudes are just too soft now.
I didn’t think that was a foul and neither did the ball.
WTF was Brown doing down that far?
Assuming Maxey doesn’t play like that the rest of the game, that quarter inspired some confidence.
Good first quarter. Maxey was an inferno and the Sixers are still down by six.
Murray had 17 in the 1st. Let’s see if he gets a shot attempt in the 2nd…recent history says he won’t.
Alright. Kept them under 30. Question if MB gets another T is he out or is it like a flop T?
Houston won again… are the Warriors out of the play in yet?
Houston is .5 back of the warriors
Looks like the dynasty is coming to an end.
This is a perfect time for Fox to take over for a few minutes, you know, like instead of in the late 3rd or 4th.
Fox is dribbling the air out of the ball tonight. Gotta keep moving the ball
current lineup not looking good
Duarte’s missed 4 open 3s now
not Duarte’s night
Maxey with 20 of team’s 24 points.
Yikes, Duarte’s shooting is straight ass.
It’s like Duarte bet the under on Duarte.
Utah and Dallas tied going into the 4th
6th place if we can keep
it.
Jazz 88, Mavs 88 after three.
One of the ugliest quarter in a while
off Batum
That’ll be a successful challenge, Monk hit it last. Good effort though.
It also eats a challenge on a basic possession in the 2nd quarter. When Mike Brown does that I yank out a nose hair to make it hurt less.
Bobby lookin thick over on the sixers bench.
All them Philly cheesesteaks!
lol that’s what I was thinking… He looks good!
A night filled with close NBA games. Very interesting NBA…hmmm.
It is too bad the defensive players on this team cannot score anything.
Well, that comment sure aged well.
All right, Keegan, blow my mind and demand the ball.
Fu&^^$%ing refs.
What? I thought for sure Philly would win that
Keon hooked him. Good no challenge
Fox is so good at changing speeds, lulling defenses to sleep.
Fox has been really inconsistent finishing around the basket this year. Last year he was top of the league. The three ball has really taken him away from the core elements that make him great.
It might also be putting some years on his career because he’s not super strong when it comes to taking hits at the rim.
He needs to hit 3s for longevity of his career once he loses that speed. Hopefully we see that happening more consistently moving forward.
Sixers cheating passing lanes so much, the Kings should be cutting to the hoop all night long.
Can’t you lead with you leg like that? I mean, he was jumping right?
no you can’t. and last year KZ got nailed for it. (correctly)
Martin led with the leg but Domas had plenty of contact of his own and jumped from the restricted area. Another bad challenge
0 for 2! I should predict everything against us
Brown won this exact challenge a few games ago
Well that was then…
Don’t know if we’ll win this challenge but it’s a worthy one imo. Can’t set the precedent that you can attack post defenders like that.
okay … that’s three dirty plays by the Sixers already. the flying knee into Domas’ gut last play, Payne lifting Keon’s leg and Lowry elbowing Domas.
Yep. Good call.
This has to be the most obvious successful challenge I have ever seen.
So naturally it will be unsuccessful.
Davion is awesome at fighting through screens.
Davion is excellent on Maxey.
Mitchell wins another position
They have no answer for Domas’ physicality
Domas need a foam helmet. He gonna get brain damage
The Monk cold streak continues
Buddy is allergic to defense. Lol. Just hung out in the backcourt that possession
Haha Maxey T. He’s on tilt.
Maxey whines a lot now that he’s a star.
These are bad refs, though I don’t believe it’s favoring one team or the other.
Domas getting hammered… as are those playing the drinking game
Mitchell has been great… Swipa going for league swipa leader
Malik’s turn for a shooting slump. Still, good way to end a half
Kings are simply better than this Sixers squad.
I’m loving the lack of drama. +6 first, +6 second.
Domas needs to start wearing a helmet
Davion having a big impact guarding Maxey,
Mitchell has been dropping his defender when he has the ball and the help defender is expecting him not to go to the rim I guess… this has happened a few times… he’s off the radar
His offensive game feels like he’s still in college. A lot of slashing and quick drives, catch and shoot only, quick passes. When he’s got it going, he’s really fun to watch.
Mavs beat Jazz. Dammit
At least they’ll be here tomorrow night on a back to back.
I wonder what Batum’s budget is for personal trainers and nutritionists.
Without Tyrese the sixers might still not be a lottery team in the crappy east
Bamba is a hacker
Domas does have a big head so I blame him for all the cranial contact.
It’s not like it’s unusually large…..at minimum it’s proportional. I suspect it’s unusually hard
JFC Philly is playing dirty.
they got problems
Bamba sucks
I have made the wrong prediction so far on both challenges tonight, but that looked pretty clean.
Hope Domas’ shoulder is ok… way more worried about that
If coach wins this it’s official that the refs are corrupt and trying to keep this fan favorite team in the game
That one looked a little iffy.
How do you call a foul on that when it’s not a foul? I mean, WTF did the ref see?
Nice defense Kings! Lowry T! LOL
If the team makes appropriate threes that are wide open the entire 4th quarter could’ve been garbage time
I am enjoying that over the last month or so the team has been able to win with decent consistency even when their 3s aren’t falling. Hopefully they can get everything clicking at the same time for the playoffs
I am not going to quote a percentage of threes so I don’t jinx the Kings, but this may one of those games they win that you are speaking about.
Domas just broke the record. Man has ever earned it.
Congratulations Domas… you are a Badass!
Domas fouled four times on that drive possession and assist.
Fox just passed up two wide open 8 footers on the same play, choosing an HB 3, and then one of his own instead.
The 3 steps back was weird
Kings’ defense has been great!
At some point in the third, the Kings crushed the Sixers’ soul.
There’s no life left.
Congrats Domas! Now let’s take care of business.
18 point game. Kings embracing physicality and playing terrific defense.
Amen
Going to close my eyes and pretend the fourth quarter isn’t going to happen.
Plan to open my eyes and see a win.
These defensive players for the Kings can’t score.
I kind of think it is within the realm of possibility (though probably not likely) that Domas gets the actual double-double-streak record from Wilt (227). It’s basically the balance of this season and then the next 2.
He’ll probably foul out early or get dinged up somewhere in there but it almost seems like light work at this point
I’m seeing a lot of side eyes from the sixers right now
?
????
Davion has more points than minutes.
This is the day the world ends.
What even was that possession with the Len finish?
Monk is broken… find Mitchell
Let’s get 11 more assists and out of here with the victory
Sixers sure could use a 7’1″, 300+ lb basketball Demi-God right now
Was Embiid actually playing that heavy? He’s certainly got the frame for it, but my understanding was that in past seasons he was more like 270
Might have been giving him the WWE billing a bit
Achilles?
Sixers are chuckin!
Good game. It’s depressing watching a team play with no energy, no heart, and no hope.
Sixers have a glass jaw.
And it’s not the Kings
Len is really valuable to this team. Kind of an unsung hero.
He does the old-school center stuff well and everything else passably. Anyone starting him would get killed in the modern NBA but he’s a great guy to have on your bench. I’d rather have him than, like, Andre Drummond.
21 point 4th quarter lead, y’all!
I think the Hawks just came back from 30 tonight to beat the Celtics…
this team just lost to the Wizards five days ago
Wizards have won like 4 in a row now… they just beat the Bulls I think… so NBA context
This team just beat The Magic a few days ago.
Just waiting for the Sixers broadcast crew to say those magic words, “There’s still a lot of time left,” to show that they know it’s over.
weak call on Keegan
What has gotten into Davion Mitchell on offense lately?
Thoughts about his future?
Domas not happy now. Just called someone a F…g a……e.
So Domas got whacked hard enough to go get treated for a cut but you didn’t look at a flagrant?
So now we finally know how many elbows to the head it takes to really piss off Domas
One. It takes one elbow to the head to really piss off Domas
Maxey just got blasted.
Get off the tracks when the train is coming through!
Triple double for Domas
Sixers fans strolling out.
Lol, Maxey knows he can’t complain for a no-call after the shit they’ve hit Domas with
I thought he collapsed his sternum.
Garbage time
Domas be all like….

The three tipping points of this game were:
1) The Kings holding Maxey to 2 points in the second half as of 6:40 left to play in the game.
2) The Kings only have 6 turnovers at the same point in the game.
3) Davion scores a basket for 15 points at the 6:20 mark of the game.
4). The Kings relentless physicality matched the 76’ers rugged fouling of Domas.
Oh, I need a minute here…
And there is it from the Sixers’ color guy at the 3 minute mark: “A lot of time left.”
Then Brown empties the bench.
only 7 turnovers makes up for 26% from 3.
Watch this end up being a 5 point win.
this garbage time unit is shaky
don’t think Colby is playable this year
the ballet kindergarden jump two games ago, and now dropped a pass in his hands
Garbage time means this second unit.
Second?
They should push back a little!
LTB chants. Finally.
Dude you crazy for going for that dunk. LOL
Sixers backcourt after Maxey is sad. 35 year old Lowry, perennial backup Cam Payne, and Buddy Hield.
Lowry is 38 actually
Bobby Jackson on the sidelines.
LTB!!!!
This defense with Ellis feels legit. If anything, its the offense I’m a little worried about. Come playoff time opponents are going to clog the paint and clobber Domas while forcing Keon, Fox, and Keegan to make 3s. But when the offense is clicking they look unstoppable.
I’m more anxious this season because the potential nadir (losing in the play-in) is so low and the potential peak (WCF run??) could be so high.
The post-merger record for double doubles in a season is 72 – Domas needs 6 in 11 games.
