The gameplan is double Sabonis and throw length and physicality at Fox. It’ll be critical for one of the wings to step up and you’d like it to be Murray. So far so good.

I gotta be honest…it shouldn’t be the Kings? I love Monk, but there’s a ton of microwave scorers in the league that will do it at a fraction of what Monk will get paid next year (Bones Hyland, Collin Sexton, etc.). Couldn’t we trade him and get something in return, while keeping the cap sheet clean? Doesn’t giving a ton of money to a sixth-man that can’t play defense put a hard ceiling on this team’s future?
He will get 25-30 mil. Will he take.a discount to play with his buddy Fox? It’s business so I don’t think so
Based on his contract–and I could be wrong–but I think the Kings are limited in what they can offer him, when his market value is much higher anyway. So he’s gone unless he’s willing to accept less to keep playing with Fox.

Philly is packing the paint which essentially removes Domas as a scoring option. Kings gotta make them pay for it by hitting their shots and so far they simply aren’t. Getting good looks, nobody is making them.
Keegan can only guard so many players at once. He hasn’t been on Harris, been on Maxey a lot.

This game is a good example of what a team that plays defense can do against top teams, even without their best player.

Tobias Harris a defensive player of the year apparently. Sabonis ain’t done shit and Harris been on him almost every possession.
It’s the Warriors playbook from the playoffs. Have a smaller, stouter guy guard him, then have a center looming for backup, and have the wings drop in to swat the ball. It’s a team effort defending Domas tonight, and the Kings have no answer.
Nurse is thoroughly a better coach than Brown. Game plan is solid, while Brown takes too long to make any basic adjustments.
They keep trying the same low post Sabonis play and the same awful result is happening. Take him out high, get some more movement, cut to the rim. Nothing, no adjustments.

No way a team doesn’t employ the same strategy that the Warriors and Sixers do on Sabonis. When that gets taken away, it’s basically Fox or Monk needing to go on a heater to give the team a chance to win.

At some point, Mike Brown needs to start being grilled about his game planning and lack of making adjustments to it.
When you’re not making 3s,you don’t start taking even more. This team had no business shooting 40 of them tonight. That’s an ongoing issue with Brown and his offense.
When nobody is making shots it’s tough to make adjustments.
8-39 from deep was the lion’s share of not making shots. The weren’t great from 2, but 40% beats 21%
I never played basketball in any organized way. Just been watching for over 30 years now. I can tell when certain things aren’t working for a team. Hell, many of us in here can see what isn’t working, but the staff don’t seem to change things up much.
Brown needs to be fired. Bad coaching, zero adjustments. Maybe he thinks he is too big to be coaching Sacramento Kings. Awful in every way
