The gameplan is double Sabonis and throw length and physicality at Fox. It’ll be critical for one of the wings to step up and you’d like it to be Murray. So far so good.
I gotta be honest…it shouldn’t be the Kings? I love Monk, but there’s a ton of microwave scorers in the league that will do it at a fraction of what Monk will get paid next year (Bones Hyland, Collin Sexton, etc.). Couldn’t we trade him and get something in return, while keeping the cap sheet clean? Doesn’t giving a ton of money to a sixth-man that can’t play defense put a hard ceiling on this team’s future?
Based on his contract–and I could be wrong–but I think the Kings are limited in what they can offer him, when his market value is much higher anyway. So he’s gone unless he’s willing to accept less to keep playing with Fox.
Philly is packing the paint which essentially removes Domas as a scoring option. Kings gotta make them pay for it by hitting their shots and so far they simply aren’t. Getting good looks, nobody is making them.
Man, have a golden opportunity to steal a win with Embiid out. With him, Kings get blown out by 20+ vs a team like this. Unfortunately, if they’re gonna keep shooting like this, doesn’t really matter who is or isn’t playing for the 76ers
It’s the Warriors playbook from the playoffs. Have a smaller, stouter guy guard him, then have a center looming for backup, and have the wings drop in to swat the ball. It’s a team effort defending Domas tonight, and the Kings have no answer.
Nurse is thoroughly a better coach than Brown. Game plan is solid, while Brown takes too long to make any basic adjustments.
They keep trying the same low post Sabonis play and the same awful result is happening. Take him out high, get some more movement, cut to the rim. Nothing, no adjustments.
Hmm… you’re only shooting 25% from 3 but 56% of your shots are 3s. This kind of game strategy has happened way too often. This has to change at some point (right?).
Not sure what changes need to be made to help the team, but it really looks like another guy that can go get himself a bucket will be needed come playoff time.
No way a team doesn’t employ the same strategy that the Warriors and Sixers do on Sabonis. When that gets taken away, it’s basically Fox or Monk needing to go on a heater to give the team a chance to win.
When you’re not making 3s,you don’t start taking even more. This team had no business shooting 40 of them tonight. That’s an ongoing issue with Brown and his offense.
I never played basketball in any organized way. Just been watching for over 30 years now. I can tell when certain things aren’t working for a team. Hell, many of us in here can see what isn’t working, but the staff don’t seem to change things up much.
Go Kings!
Let’s go Keegan. Continue the aggressive streak
Yea game on ESPN .
this should be an easy win on paper. but they don’t play on paper.
Keegan needs a big game. Good start so far.
The gameplan is double Sabonis and throw length and physicality at Fox. It’ll be critical for one of the wings to step up and you’d like it to be Murray. So far so good.
Kings an underdog in this one by a hair. It’d be nice to see the Kings break the Philly jinx.
Defensive rebounding. Let’s go kings
Shots aren’t falling. Philly seems to have a plan of swiping and poking at the ball against sabonis
it has become quite glaring that we receive nearly 0 production out of two starting spots each game
So bright, need my sunglasses.
Get Duarte out of there.
Duarte turning over the ball, missing FTs, missing 3s, and getting beat on defense. Next.
Low energy, HB is doing nothing, and Duarte is garbage.
(That’s for your bingo card Yakshi)
Some team is going to give Monk a lot of money.
And make him starting PG

He will get 25-30 mil. Will he take.a discount to play with his buddy Fox? It’s business so I don’t think so
Based on his contract–and I could be wrong–but I think the Kings are limited in what they can offer him, when his market value is much higher anyway. So he’s gone unless he’s willing to accept less to keep playing with Fox.
3s aren’t falling and the Kings are fouling like crazy right now.
Neither team can shoot this quarter
It’s really ugly.
The Philly arena plays the most annoying sound effects and music. Also, how the f^$# was that a foul on Colby?
Nationally televised game, so the Kings will get no respect by the refs tonight.
Colby Jones getting some run.
Sabonis will be doubled all night. Need 3s to drop today
I keep hearing, “Obama at the free throw line.”
“Nice block by Obama.”
weird. I’m hearing llama, nice block by llama.
No surprise that Tobias Harris is killing them
Get. To. The. Rim.
GD that was a late call on JTA.
What a bullshit call on JTA
He didn’t even touch him
Where’s Fox?
At the free throw line.
How does JTA get minutes and Sasha gets dnps?
Right? And he already has 2 shot attempts.
And JTA getting schooled by Pat Bev
Kings are in trouble. Getting smoked by Maxey, Harris, and Pat Bev.
Only down 8 after playing like hot garbage.
Sixers are 11/12 from the line after the 1st.
Kings shooting 2/12 from 3.
So Philly’s been to the line 12 times and the Kings 4 times. Domas hasn’t scored and Fox has 4 points. Brown needs a new plan…quick.
Philly is packing the paint which essentially removes Domas as a scoring option. Kings gotta make them pay for it by hitting their shots and so far they simply aren’t. Getting good looks, nobody is making them.
Keegan can only guard so many players at once. He hasn’t been on Harris, been on Maxey a lot.
Need more than 1 dude to play defense
Sasha is in. See if he can hit a shot
Why the heck did Fox make that easy layup a difficult sky hook?
Sasha follows up multiple DNPs with an airball.
Hope he gets it together.
Kings getting a lot of offensive rebounds at least lol
Ugly stretch for Sasha
Kings are taking fast sloppy threes.
We’re getting smoked by our TO’s
Their turnover issue of the last two weeks has been unnerving
Sabinis has the yips again tonight
Here comes another blowout as our star PG has 4 points and 200 FG%
Lyles is leading the team with 5 points.
No Embiid and Domas with the donut.
Live and die 3s. Hopefully it starts dropping
Man, have a golden opportunity to steal a win with Embiid out. With him, Kings get blown out by 20+ vs a team like this. Unfortunately, if they’re gonna keep shooting like this, doesn’t really matter who is or isn’t playing for the 76ers
At this point, not getting blown out would be nice.
Maxey’s energy is incredible.
Bring in Len
The roster is fine, right?
.
.
.right? 😥
How is a scrub like Paul Reed showing out?
JFC Domas needs some points here.
Kings might shoot over 60 3s tonight at this rate
The metallic taste in my mouth from the Paxlovid is more enjoyable than this game.
It’s almost unbelievable how sloppy the Kings are playing.
We could have had Harris a couple of years ago but were afraid of his contract.
Harris always kills the kings damm
Turning this shit off!
The staff needs to come up with a better game plan for when 3s aren’t falling, than “shoot even more 3s”.
This game is a good example of what a team that plays defense can do against top teams, even without their best player.
Just plug in the next guy and follow the plan.
MB needs a good half time plan. Sabonis doubled and ineffective
Jesus guys, it’s Paul Reed. Not KD
LOL. 76ers running layup drills.
Why is HB in the game? He’s fricking useless.
Maybe throw Keegan on Harris already. Sometimes Brown takes way too long to make adjustments in game
Wow, Barnes is doing nothing but hurting the Kings.
They have no plan when they get the ball
What is up with the stupid music played during 76ers possessions?
Tobias Harris blowing by Ellis like he’s standing still.
Tobias Harris a defensive player of the year apparently. Sabonis ain’t done shit and Harris been on him almost every possession.
It’s the Warriors playbook from the playoffs. Have a smaller, stouter guy guard him, then have a center looming for backup, and have the wings drop in to swat the ball. It’s a team effort defending Domas tonight, and the Kings have no answer.

Kings=UGLY!
Mo Bamba scored more points than Domas in the 1st half
Reed and Bamba making Sabonis look like PapaG
Hmm… you’re only shooting 25% from 3 but 56% of your shots are 3s. This kind of game strategy has happened way too often. This has to change at some point (right?).
As MB would say “shoot more threes”
Let’s see if Brown makes any adjustments
With your life on the line, would you rather need the Kings to make a FT or correctly challenge an official’s call?
Who’s shooting the FT?
Domas
That’s tough! I’m riding with Sabonis.
RIP
Play HB more so he ends up with zero trade value.
Is Kevin Huerter wearing a sweater?
Weekly Kings blowout loss.
When this teams bad, they are bad.
If they could get this to 10 by the 4th it might be competitive
Domas smokes a layup and then Lyles smokes a gimme putback off a rebound in consecutive possessions. Alright man
Looks like domas and lyles just can’t elevate well.
Well they went on a mini run. Need a few more of those and things will get interesting.
0.1. Wow, what a call.
lol Tobias is 11/16. If you are 6’8″ and 220+ lbs you can do whatever the hell you want to this team
Soft with no idea what a charge is or how to take one.
Just keep Keegan on him and stop switching. Once again, no adjustments in-game
Harris could get a career high
Our starting SF and SG have 5 combined points.
On 7 attempts.
Meanwhile, Jones & Vezenkov combined for 5 minutes.
Fox is a walking motor issue.
Usually its been on/off games. Now its on/off stretches
Domas has gotten hounded with little gameplan it seems.
I mean, he’s not getting much help. I do agree though. You can see it in his effort, demeanor and body language.
Another early challenge. Hope it works, nothing else is.
Yea, it worked for once.
Is this (hopefully) our last national game?
WTF is going on with Fox? He’s a different player. Keeps giving it up to Monk and others.
As he should. He’s been awful.
This will be one of the less ugly blowouts. Sigh…
Fox finally hitting FT’s when it doesn’t matter.
Had to turn it off when I saw Fox laughing while down 25.
To be fair, they’ve been hilariously bad.
Too often unfortunately
Should have sat Fox 5 minutes ago.
Davion’s first minutes 🤦. Nice rotation.
Javale mine as well take a three. Oh, here’s Kayte tell us what his gone down over the last 17 months. 😴
At some point, Mike Brown needs to start being grilled about his game planning and lack of making adjustments to it.
When you’re not making 3s,you don’t start taking even more. This team had no business shooting 40 of them tonight. That’s an ongoing issue with Brown and his offense.
When nobody is making shots it’s tough to make adjustments.
8-39 from deep was the lion’s share of not making shots. The weren’t great from 2, but 40% beats 21%
I never played basketball in any organized way. Just been watching for over 30 years now. I can tell when certain things aren’t working for a team. Hell, many of us in here can see what isn’t working, but the staff don’t seem to change things up much.
Brown needs to be fired. Bad coaching, zero adjustments. Maybe he thinks he is too big to be coaching Sacramento Kings. Awful in every way
