This morning the Kings announced that they and the NBA have commenced a joint investigation into the allegations against Kings head coach Luke Walton.

Sue Ann Van Dermyden has a history of working on these types of situations in Sacramento, having been hired by the California Senate to investigate allegations of harassment. She also authored “One Year Later: Investigations in the Post-Weinstein Era” for a 2018 American Employment Law Council conference, which provides a fascinating look into how these investigations typically go and the responsibilities of the investigators.
