Sacramento Kings forward Jake LaRavia will miss at least 7 days with a bone contusion in his left thumb, the team announced Friday.
“Sacramento Kings forward Jake LaRavia completed imaging on his left thumb after taking a fall in the third quarter versus the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, March 25. Imaging concluded LaRavia sustained a bone contusion. LaRavia will be listed as out and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days.”
LaRavia is averaging 6.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and close to a steal a game in 19 minutes per game since joining the Kings. He scored in double figures in 5 of the last 7 games he played in and has brought a nice spark off the bench with the defensive tenacity he brings to the floor. In the game against the Thunder he was injured during, he had 11 points on 4-7 from the field and 2-3 from three.
The Kings acquired LaRavia in February in the trade that sent Alex Len, Colby Jones, and a 2028 second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies.
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Clowntown.”
Here’s the Mayor of Clowntown.
I would take Roy Al over the sum of Vivek and his Front Offices.
The Owner and the City Council?
Anyone else thinks this resembles Vivek?
I see it. Good call.
Damn, there is just a little over 2 weeks left in the season. If he doesn’t come back within the expected window, we have already seen Jake for last time in a Kings uniform.
That’s a long time for a bruise on the hand. Must be pretty nasty.
I’m having trouble with the math of them shutting down LaRavia to tank while playing Domas/DDR/Keegan/LaVine/Ellis 173 minutes last night.
Not to mention Domas coming back early from an ankle sprain.
He needs games to reach 65 to keep the slim All-NBA team hope alive.
But yeah.
Don’t see Vivek tanking out of a possible home play-in game worth of revenue either.
Huh?
There is a certain familiarity of tone and opinions of Ellis by KindraKings….amirite?
It’s like some version of the multiverse!

Wouldn’t have brought Monk back if it was a tank.
You are clearly hopeful but seems a total stretch to me . I think this team is all in trying to win. However, you may get your wish due to the fact that even trying to win they aren’t very good at it .
I had a bad fall bout 6 months ago and landed palms first trying to catch myself. I thought I had broken my hand. Had x-rays and all, but it turned out be a bad bone bruise. It hurt like hell and I couldn’t do a pushup for close to 2 months. If it’s a deep bone bruise I can see how it might be hard to play through.
Soft. Domas played the whole season with a broken thumb.
(Just kidding)
Domas; Jake, Hold my beer

This should help our chances of keeping our pick.
Help our chances of keeping Jake
Maybe that played in to the decision to bring Malik off the bench again?
It says 23 comments but I only see 13?
I think a troll got removed along with all replies.
Thinking about the difficulties of trying to re-sign LaRavia, I’m reminded of all the bad contracts & deals Vlade made, because he didn’t understand contract rules.
If the Kings bring Vlade back as the GM, I will have life-altering confirmation that I have wasted so much time of my life on this franchise.
I think it will be a relief and will help my blood pressure.
I probably won’t be a fan of the NBA as a whole like Ziller, but will follow one or two specific players and the team that they are on. Deni Avdija at Portland, perhaps Amen Thompson at Houston, Jokic.
I’ll be a fan of this community, but will have no emotional or financial stake in the team. My memorabilia will remain displayed in my office, albeit in a very ironic way.
Ah yes, I will definitely keep annoying TKH with my nonsense, because I’m that kind of guy.
I’m in the same boat. Of all the disastrous outcomes of this season so far, the most distressing from a personal perspective is the thought that I may be an ex-fan of the team in the near future. I’m not sure how I’d even begin to detach but I know I’d definitely try my best. I’ll also still stick around here, to talk basketball in general, maybe even the NBA Euroleague lol.
