Sacramento drops their fifth straight game as Andray Blatche came up huge for the Nets.

A brand new starting lineup didn't change anything for the Sacramento Kings as they dropped their fifth straight game, four of which came at home. Aaron Brooks and John Salmons started over James Johnson and Isaiah Thomas, but both had subpar performances. Sacramento did manage to get out to an early lead, but the Nets quickly came back to lead 21-20 at the end of the first.

The biggest difference maker in the game was the second quarter, where the Nets outscored Sacramento by 11. Andray Blatche came off of Brooklyn's bench on fire and scored 18 points in the first half, hitting all 9 of his field goal attempts. Blatche finished with a team-high 22 points on 11-12 from the field in just 19 minutes of action.

For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins finished with a season-high 29 points on 12-19 shooting from the field. He got off to a slow start but was very effective in the second half. He also added 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block. Tyreke Evans also had a good game, with 21 points on 8-14 from the field, with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and 2 blocks.

Marcus Thornton was the only other player to score in double digits for the Kings, finishing with 12 points, but on a poor shooting night, going just 4-13 from the field and 3-10 from three point range. His numbers would have looked even worse had he not had a good start to the fourth quarter.

The biggest problem for the Kings tonight was ball movement. Sacramento had just 13 assists to 17 turnovers on the night. Isaiah Thomas led the team with 4 assists, and the only other Kings guard with any assists was Tyreke with two. Weird rotations continued tonight as Jimmer Fredette was the first guard off the bench for Sacramento and Isaiah Thomas didn't see action until the second half. None of the point guards saw more than 18 minutes of action.

The Kings get a couple days off to practice, and it's unknown if Smart will change the lineup again or stick with this current one for awhile. Their next chance to end this losing streak will come Wednesday, against a very talented Lakers team.

No bigger recap coming today unfortunately as I was only able to catch the second half of tonight's action live, so use this as your discussion thread. Nostradumbass of the Night was rKINGm with 7 points.
