Sacramento Kings fans can breathe a sigh of relief. After leaving Monday’s game with a sore knee, an MRI has ruled out any major injuries for point guard De’Aaron Fox. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the details:
Good news: MRI on Kings guard De’Aaron Fox’s right knee showed a bone bruise – no structural damage, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Fox will miss Wednesday’s game vs. Heat and his return will be based upon the resolution of symptoms, but there’s hope it could be soon.

It’s unfortanate that Fox will miss the next game, and possibly more beyond that, but it’s great news that Fox didn’t suffer a more serious injury. Fox has had a fantastic start to the season and it would have been heartbreaking to see it cut short by a major injury.
For the season Fox is averaging 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Those numbers are great even though the small sample is being distorted by Fox’s 8 points, 1 assist and 0 rebound stat line in just 9 minutes of play against Charlotte.
The Kings face Miami on Wednesday and then Orlando on Saturday. Hopefully Fox can return soon.
Davion and Delly, part 2: MIAMI BEACH
(get well soon, De’Aaron!)
D1 De-Aaron – load management rest for playoffs
D2 Davion and D3 Delly – assist to win Larry O’Brien Cup
Our D-Cuppers will be fine

Miami Nice!
Good news that there is no structural damage, but a bone bruise can sideline a player for several weeks, depending on the severity of it.
Doing a quick google search on recent bone bruises and I found an article on Embiid at the end of the 2021 season when he had a knee bone bruise:
More recently Jalen Suggs got a bone bruise on his knee during preseason on Oct. 7th. He didn’t return to game action until October 19th.
Let’s hope Fox’s bruise isn’t that severe.
They can definitely be terrible and take you out of your routine for a while, but it will heal, so I hope he doesn’t rush back before he’s 100%.
Durant was probably extended for “load management”.
Usually takes a few weeks but depends on severity. Had one and took 6 weeks. Incredibly painful to move for awhile.
Yikes. Is this the entire list of recent bone bruises or the worst case scenarios in the last few years?
Sounds like Fox will bounce back just fine.
The only question for me is whom the Kings put on the active roster, if anyone, instead of De’Aaron. I’d put Moneke personally, but I get why they would put Ellis instead.
There was no way De’Aaron was ever playing against Miami. In part because of how physical Miami is. 4 days of rest could do him lot of good, as well.
Be interesting to see what the Kings do, and I’m Interested to see how Davion does as well.
Ellis is probably the easiest sell, since he’s an exceptional defender and good shooter. But whatever, I wouldn’t expect whoever shows up to see a lot of floor time.
Echo….echo…….echo……
Dance, monkey.
With all the Chaos in Brooklyn. The Kings look like a normal organization comparatively
Yeah, now the Kings need to trade for Kessler Edwards so they have a backup SF
Ah! And what of the Knights that say…….. Knee!
This is
That’s a relief. The good news must’ve made Fox smile.
PLEASE DON’T BRUISE
The Ox needs his Fox!
DeAaron has been a BEAST this season so far. Hope it’s just the Miami game he’s out for.
If Davion needs a reason to switch it back on this is it.
