According to the Sacramento Kings latest injury report, power forward Chimezie Metu has entered health and safety protocols, joining starting center Richaun Holmes in quarantine.
Metu has been a go-to member of the rotation for Alvin Gentry, having started in 11 of the 17 games in which he’s appeared, and the big man has averaged 9.3 points and 6.8 boards over that span, including knocking down a buzzer-beating game-winner last week. With the NBA’s recent reduction in isolation time from 10 to five days as long as certain benchmarks are met, fans could be seeing both Holmes and Metu sooner than previous Kings players that entered health and safety protocols. Until that time, expect to see a lot more of Marvin Bagley and Damian Jones, as well as Tristan Thompson and Alex Len.
Two Sacramento Kings have now entered protocols in the last few days, and that sort of trend is something to keep an eye out for with the recent explosion of coronavirus infections throughout the league. Hopefully, these are two isolated events that see no further spread.
Gonna see some Bob Woodard at PF tonight.
I think he and Ramsey were sent down to Stockton.
Give them bulletproof vests, and put them on a bus!
Pretty sure more than half of the roster is trying to test positive. They can simply stay home instead of put on a uniform then quit.
Metu is not one of those. Hopefully he comes back soon.
There goes our game winner.
Hope he has a quick recovery. Making lemonade out of those lemons, our 3pt% for the next couple games should get a decent boost upwards.
will he be efficient in safety and protocols?
Ok
Be well Mezie.
