Guys, thanks.
For some unsolicited advice by a non-expert; for a bigger audience maybe you need catchier phrases to catch the eye. And preferably controversial or dramatic ones. You need to be a bit more “shit birds”, as Jerry would call it, I think.
How about: “THE TKH BROADCAST WANTS LESS DEROZAN!”?
Just hope Carter and Orlando Robinson can strengthen a weak Kings bench . Keon hopefully will become a regular role player as well . Another good listen with interesting topics .
I am undoubtedly in the minority:
Monk at 24-26 min/ is more than enough for my tastes.
No doubt he brings energy and his swagger is unequalled. But his play makes me cringe too often. He too often goes for the home run play when the simple pragmatic play is called for.
Too often he keeps the ball for the final shot – 12 seconds or less – and too often he heaves up some guarded garbage which usually rims out. Too often he tries the needle pass – sidearm or not- crosscourt or not – when it just isn’t called for. The double pump lay in, the highlight dunk – just drop it in the hoop; nope, he won’t do that.
But yes – when he hits his home runs – it’s a joy.
I guess I am too pragmatic. I am the dud in fuddy duddy. Gimme Tim Duncan. John Stockton. Kawhi. Simple, effective, efficient.
Appreciate you throwing around the idea of playing Len and Domas together at center and power forward, respectively. They can both pass the ball well, and having a big point forward could help with size issues the Kings will face. Would be a great time to see Brown toy this experiment as Lyles continues to get back in his grove.
