For Thursday edition, the Bee is sticking to its guns from Wednesday, saying that reports that the Sacramento Kings have been sold to a Seattle-base group led by Chris Hansen are "premature."

Again, this is what the Bee reported Wednesday. Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski is the only reporter who has confirmed the price, the proximity to completion and the immediate relocation plan. Unfortunately for us, Woj is never wrong. We're left to hoping that, as Scott Howard-Cooper put it, the Maloofs are the Maloofs in this deal and botch it up.

We also continue to hope that the NBA and the Maloofs give Sacramento-based buyers an opportunity to keep the team. Repeating the Seattle SuperSonics mistake again is not a great way to fix Seattle.
