With the 22nd pick, which was acquired today from Charlotte for Marco Belinelli, the Kings select Syracuse's Malachi Richardson. The Kings took Richardson with Timothé Luwawu and Demetrius Jackson still on the board, both players rated highly on Sactown Royalty's community draft board.

Richardson is a 6'6 wing player who averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals as a Freshman for Syracuse last year. However he did shoot only 36.9% from the field overall.
