don’t know a whole lot about him but he has been stuffing the stat sheet, particularly assists. looks like a big unselfish point guard who relies on craft.

In the upside-down world that is the Kings, this is exactly the kind of game they would win, making the Pistons loss seem even more like a fever dream in retrospect that it was watching it live.

Here’s a game where the difference between Len and McGee will be rather stark. Jokic way too big and too smart to be bothered by Javale’s springy defense. Len might be at the very least be solid and smart enough to keep Jokic in front of him.
Can’t figure out why Len hasn’t been playing. Anybody know?

I’ve heard that the team listens to McGee quite a bit as a veteran voice so I assume MB is giving him time to allow his words to mean a little more coming from someone in the rotation.
But he sucks on the court, so it doesn’t really matter.
I agree which I’m always wondering why he is on the court before Len.

LOL, I know you jest, but in all reality it would take trading one of Banres or Huerter AND Sasha or Lyles…and take no salary in return. It’s just not possible.

I’ll add, it also take trading away those players between the end of the regular season and free agency. Again, it’s just not possible.
Can they pay him anymore than his early bird rights allow. Same thing when we were all talking about the Kings chances of resigning Richaun. We could pay him the maximum we could pay him and not a penny more. Same thing for Monk.
Richaun took the Early Bird. The Kings can only pay Monk the same (starting around $17M per year) unless they get far enough below the cap to pay him more.

LOL. Who? the only other players under contract are Mitchell and Jones.
Basically you want to unload a starter in Barnes or Huerter plus an additional contract or two and take no money in return in order to pay Monk more than then the early bird. Even if you could find a team(s) that would eat those deals the Kings would have to attach draft assets.
Sell the entire farm to re-sign Monk? Am I getting that right?

I mean, he is one of the best offensive players in the league. And with eight assists, it’s not as if he isn’t passing the ball as well.
Still, I’d like to see him pass the ball at the end of quarters. He hasn’t been clutch this year.

It seems to me that there have been too many missed opportunities on the back door cuts this year, it seems Domas is not attempting as many of those passes as he did last year.

I used to work with a dude who played 3 years for San Diego State. We’d just be walking and somehow he would roll his ankle, step off a curb….he’d roll his ankle. Put too much pressure on the accelerator his ankle was toast. Rolling an ankle is just the cost of doing business for these guys. Unless it’s a high ankle sprain….totally different thing. Monk’s ankle will swell up after the game and tomorrow morning. These guys are tuffer than we think
