Whatever the case, if Sessions is attracting interest on the free agent market, I expect that Sacramento will be actively looking at those options given how poorly he has fit in with the Kings. Whether anything gets done or not, who knows, but the trade deadline (Feb. 19th) will be here sooner than you think.
