Vinny Del Negro, a former second round pick of the Sacramento Kings, has five years coaching experience with a total record of 210-84. He most recently coached the L.A. Clippers to a 56-26 record in the 2012-13 season but was not retained after a disappointing first round finish.
Mitchell is the most experienced coach of the bunch with 6 years as a head coach in Toronto and Minnesota and 5 additional years as an assistant, but he also sports the worst record at 185-242. He did a decent job this past year with a young team after being thrust unexpectedly into the head coaching spot in Minnesota after Flip Saunders passed away from cancer.

Given the sheer amount of names we've heard connected to the Kings' job in the wake of firing George Karl, it appears this will be one of the most exhaustive coaching searches in recent memory and definitely the most exhaustive under Vivek Ranadivé's stewardship. Ranadivé basically gave the job to Mike Malone as soon as he was brought on as owner, and the hiring of George Karl was rushed after Malone's firing caused the team to spiral downward and the team desperately wanted someone with a pedigree to show they hadn't made a mistake in letting Malone go.
But hey, I'm still miffed they rejected my own application for the job.
