Sam Amick of The Bee counters Ric Bucher's reports that a Ron Artest to the Knicks deal is being worked on.

Amick says the Knicks wanted to make Jared Jeffries the centerpiece of a deal, and will not include David Lee. Obviously, the Kings aren't interested. Amick also says Geoff Petrie believes the offers will be much better come February… and it's hard to disagree.
