The road was not Sacramento's friend this season. While the Kings will finish at just about .500 at home, they were an abysmal 8-33 on the road. Only 1 of those road wins came against a team with a winning record, so it was no surprise that Sacramento couldn't get past the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, particularly with Oklahoma City playing to clinch the #1 seed.

Still, the Kings put forth one of their better road efforts of the season after barely seeming awake in the previous two losses to Houston and Memphis. Sacramento gained some early momentum through the play of Tyreke Evans, but unfortunately lost Evans in the first quarter when he came down and landed awkwardly, holding his left knee. Evans was later diagnosed with a left quad strain and will likely not play in Wednesday's Season Finale. That means we could have seen the end of Tyreke Evans as a Sacramento King, one way or another (either through Free Agency or Relocation).

The Thunder star-duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook carried the day for Oklahoma City, scoring 29 and 21 respectively. Each finished with 8 assists as well.

The Kings were led in scoring by Isaiah Thomas' 16 points. Thomas was the only Kings starter to score in double-digits. Travis Outlaw tied his season-high of 15 points for the second straight night, and Cole Aldrich had his second straight career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, including a perfect 6-6 from the field. Aldrich is quietly making a good case to be re-signed this summer. Jimmer Fredette scored 11 points but had another inefficient shooting night, going just 4-12.

The Kings have one more game left for the season, and possibly forever, as they face the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. There are still tickets to the game, and if you were thinking about going, I would highly recommend it. Let's give the NBA one more thing to think about when they decide the Kings future at the end of this week.
