Tyreke Evans Still Out, Thornton is Back

By | 0 Comments | Feb 22, 2019

From Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham, Tyreke Evans is out again with a sore left knee, but shooting guard Marcus Thornton is back with the team and will play tonight against the Golden State Warriors.

Evans suffered the injury Nov. 27th in a loss to Minnesota after knocking knees with Forward Andrei Kirilenko. Since then he has missed 6 of 10 games. One of the games he did not miss was last Sunday's loss to Denver where he left after the first quarter.

Thornton has missed the last four games, all losses, as he was back home caring for his ailing mother. He has returned to be with the team however. Thornton has struggled so far this season but is still one of the more talented scorers the team has.

Expect veteran swingman Francisco Garcia to once again start at Shooting Guard for Tyreke Evans. Thornton did not miss time due to injury so he should be available to play plenty of minutes.
