In a bit of surprising turn of events, the NBA will NOT suspend DeMarcus Cousins for his latest transgression, according to USA Today's Sam Amick. Cousins and Mike Dunleavy got into it in Sunday's Kings vs. Bucks game after they knocked knees as Dunleavy was trying to box Cousins out. Cousins viewed Dunleavy's low blow as intentional and retaliated on the next possession with an elbow to the back of Dunleavy's head. He was promptly assessed a flagrant-2 and ejected from the game, the fourth time this season he's been tossed.

However, Cousins will still not be available to play tonight against the visiting Chicago Bulls. Amick reports that Cousins will sit out to rest a sore left leg, courtesy of the incident that set him off in the first place.

The Kings are also not expected to levy their own punishment. When asked by the Bee's Jason Jones, Geoff Petrie had this to say:

That essentially sums up the feelings regarding DeMarcus. Everyone in the organization, from the front office to the coaching staff to his teammates is at a loss on how to help him. That's because there is only one person who can and it's DeMarcus himself.
