The Sacramento Kings stand as the last remaining team with significant cap space in free agency and yet it remains unclear what, if anything, the Kings will do with that space. One of the few remaining options for Sacramento is Rodney Hood. Hood has been a favorite of Dave Joerger since Hood entered the league, and it was expected that Sacramento could chase him this summer. But now it’s sounding more and more likely that the Cleveland Cavaliers, who own Hood’s restricted free agent rights, would likely match anything short of an egregious offer.
On a recent episode of the Wine and Gold Talk podcast, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com discussed the likelihood of Hood returning to the Cavs.

Vlade Divac is certainly capable of making a “stunning” offer for Hood, but this seems to take Hood out of the running as a possible bargain signing.
