The board which governs Cal Expo listened to David Stern this afternoon, and rewarded him by approving an item which allows the NBA and Cal Expo's reps to negotiate the details of a possible plan to build an arena at the site, reports The Bee.
The NBA and Cal Expo's folks (former Gov. Pete Wilson, among others) have six months to put together a specific plan to rebuild Cal Expo and give the Kings a new home. No taxes requested still. The complainers, of course, have already found something new to complain about: traffic. A way to remedy traffic could be included in the plan to be formulated.
Now? We wait some more. Great second step, though. Kudos to all involved.
