It started with Lonzo Ball. Following an embarrassing showing in the NCAA Tournament, Lonzo Ball didn’t want to face De’Aaron Fox again. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie ducked De’Aaron Fox in Vegas Summer League, and again for their first preseason matchup as professionals. He would go on to miss two regular season matchups against Fox as well.
But what started as a simple observation that Lonzo Ball was ducking De’Aaron Fox quickly revealed a larger trend. While Lonzo is the biggest coward, the league was full of players who were afraid of De’Aaron Fox. I’ve spent the season tracking this data on Twitter, and can now share with you the comprehensive list of players who were afraid to face Fox.
