The NBA Season is suspended indefinitely, so what’s next?

We have more questions than answers
By | 0 Comments | Mar 12, 2020

Today is an unprecedented day in NBA history. Following word that the league has suspended play indefinitely, nobody really knows what will happen next. When might games resume? If games resume, will fans attend? If games resume, will the league finish the season or skip straight to the playoffs? Nobody has answers to any of these questions.

In the meantime, here’s what we do know:

Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus last night, prompting the NBA’s swift shutdown.

This morning Donovan Mitchell also tested positive.

The G League has also suspended operations.

Other sports league seem likely to follow, including the likely cancellation of March Madness.

The CDC has advised that the best ways to slow or prevent the spread are to wash your hands regularly with warm water and soap, avoid touching your face, and avoid large gatherings. At this point the primary goal is to slow the spread so hospitals do not get overrun. We can all do our part to protect those at the highest risk, which are the elderly and those with compromised immune systems.

Be safe. Wash your hands.
