Focus on Sacramento, not Seattle

The best way to help Sacramento right now is to focus on Sacramento.

Sacramento still has work to do to give itself a chance at keeping the Kings. April 3 is a little more than a week away. The City Council has to approve the term sheet. KJ, Vivek, Burkle and Mastrov have to build a compelling case for Sacramento. (Well, revive Sacramento's existing strong case, at least.) Fans have to prove to our elected leaders that we support this effort wholeheartedly.

But a lot of effort is being spent watching how Seattle fans respond to every piece of news. It's natural to an extent. But it's also distracting and, frankly, making our threads less fun.

As usual, section214 says it best:

We're a week and change from the committee and just under a month from the Board of Governors vote. Let us resolve to let Seattle do its thing while we do ours. I mean, we have to analyze any news — that's part of the deal. But seeking out their takes on our news solely to ridicule those takes is too far. (I realize I've done this a bit on Twitter, and I apologize for it.)

We can respond to falsehoods published by reputable outlets (including the front page authors on Sonics Rising) without digging in the comments for trouble. Is that amenable?
