NBA Draft Lottery: The Kings land the 8th pick

By | 0 Comments | Mar 6, 2019

The Sacramento Kings have been in the NBA Draft Lottery 21 times. Tonight was the Kings' 20th time not moving up in the lottery order, although that's not too bad given that the odds weren't great this year. The Kings finished with the 8th pick, the same spot they were slotted prior to the lottery. The Kings last had the 8th pick in 2014 when they drafted Nik "Sauce Castillo" Stauskas and in 1994 when they selected Brian Grant.

Draft workouts should start soon, and we'll get a feel for the kind of players the Kings are looking at with the ()th pick. The Kings desperately need help on the perimeter, but it will be interesting to see what the Kings do if the best player available is a big man.

The 2016 NBA Draft will be held on June 23rd, 2016.
