The AP reports Joe Axelson, a former Kings GM and one of the guys who orchestrated the Sacramento move, has died at age 80.

Though he was responsible for such things as Joe Kleine, Pervis Ellison, Coach Bill Russell, Coach Jerry Reynolds, and Coach Dick Motta, he's generally been given a pass as a key player in the franchise's early-Sac history. I mean, historians don't really hate Aaron Burr, you know?
