Do not adjust your dials. The Sacramento Kings are on a winning streak. The Kings went down to Los Angeles for an early afternoon game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and walked out with a win. The game started very sloppy, as neither team seemed fully ready for the early start, but the intensity and quality improved as the game went on. The Kings jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, and held off the Clippers until late. In the closing minutes, the Kings played inspired defense and hit some key shots to secure a 112-103 victory.

Kent Bazemore has been a delight for Kings fans since he arrived in the Trevor Ariza trade, and he was the key to victory today. Bazemore finished with a team-high 23 points to go with 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals, and 1 huge block. De’Aaron Fox had a good game as well, finishing with 20 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and a steal. He made some huge plays in the fourth quarter, including a key drive late in the fourth where he blew past Kawhi Leonard, took Landry Shamet to the hoop, and scored over Shamet and Montrezl Harrell.

For the bigs, Harry Giles had one of his best games as King. He secured his first career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. He stepped up and had a great game. Alex Len made his Kings debut as well. His 3 points and 8 rebounds don’t jump off the page, but he played solid backup minutes. He’s a capable backup center, and his size and physicality disrupted the Clippers, especially Montrezl Harrell.

The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard’s 31 points. Lou Williams added 24 points, and Harrell had 16. No other Clippers scored in double digits.
