When it rains it pours. According to Kings Play-by-Play Announcer Grant Napear, Free Agent PG Aaron Brooks is coming to Sacramento. Brooks himself seems to back this up with a tweet from his verified account (meaning it's actually him).
Brooks did not play in the NBA last season as he opted to stay in China during the lockout. Brooks has averaged 12.5 PPG, .363 3P% and 3.6 APG in 25.0 MPG over his career. Brooks was the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2010 when he averaged over 19 points and 5 assists while leading the league in threes made and attempted.
UPDATE 1:58 PM: Sam Amick confirms that Brooks will sign with Sacramento.
UPDATE 1:59 PM: Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld says it will be a two year deal.
UPDATE 2:18 PM: Jason Jones reports the deal looks to be worth about $3 million a year over two years.
UPDATE 2:25 PM: The Sacramento Kings have announced they have waived F/C Hassan Whiteside. That puts the roster back to 14.
UPDATE 2:32 PM: Sam Amick reports the deal is $6.6 million over two years, with the second year being a player option.
