Third-year point guard Orien Greene will compete for the backup point guard spot, reports The Bee's Sam Amick.

Greene played little with Boston and Indiana the past two seasons. When he did play, the record shows poor shooting and lots of turnovers. But he's a David Thorpe kid, so we could have a diamond in the rough.

He'll be competing with Mustafa Shakur and Pooh Jeter for a roster spot, barring a trade.
