Dewayne Dedmon has agreed to a three-year, $41 million deal with the Sacramento Kings, per The Athletic’s Sham Charania.

Sam Amick of The Athletic, who originally broke the news at 2:08 p.m., also reported on the Dedmon signing saying that the third year will be a partial guarantee.

Dedmon, who will be turning 30, averaged 10.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks a game along with 49 percent field goal shooting and 38 percent from deep in 64 games with the Atlanta Hawks.

Dedmon is also accustomed to a fast-paced offense with the Hawks being one of the faster teams in terms of pace, so he’ll be able to fit right in with the run-and-gun system of the Kings.

The move also provides the Kings a chance to play Marvin Bagley with a solid floor spacer and someone who doesn’t need to operate in the paint. Harry Giles will also continue to grow off the bench.

For a more in-depth look at what he brings to the table, we profiled Dedmon here three weeks ago.
