Cory Joseph and his family are donating “thousands” of healthy meals to families in Canada through Isthmus, the Sacramento Kings announced on Monday.

Isthmus is a Canadian charity that provides food for students who don’t have access to food over the weekends. Their cause is especially important now that schools are closed all throughout Canada, and for that same reason, the support they receive is equally important.

Joseph, a native of Toronto, served as an ambassador for Isthmus for three years, so their partnership was a natural fit. However, Joseph won’t only be donating meals on the weekends; his donation will cover meals through the school year, according to the team’s statement.

Here’s what Joseph had to say about his latest donation, via Kings.com:

This is just the latest in a string of donations Joseph has made to his home country. Last month, the 28-year-old guard donated face shields to frontline workers in Toronto through Operation Canadian Shield. Since then, their GoFundMe has raised $54,509 of their $60,000 goal.

To help Isthmus with their cause, you can visit donate.micharity.com/isthmus. Donations can me made in one-time or monthly payments.
