What a road trip from the Sacramento Kings. For the second time this season, they’ve gone into a road trip against not-great opposition with positive momentum and disappointed beyond belief.

I spent the first half of this episode talking about their 0-3 road trip and giving my thoughts on seeing the same issues resurface over and over. Everything from the lineup changes, the impact of injuries since Gentry has taken over, questionable effort levels, the poor play of Buddy Hield, and more.

Along with my own analysis, I included audio clips from a few of the postgame press conferences throughout this road trip. I’ve started to include more of these in recent episodes because I think they help the fanbase get a better understanding of how the team really views their current play.

This episode has four clips included that I thought were notable.

After sharing all of those along with my thoughts on the Kings’ recent performances, the second half of the episode was dedicated to trade talk.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania recently released an article that shared a handful of names who are expected to be popular names this trade season. With the December 15th date right around the corner (the day that recent free agents who signed this offseason become eligible for trades), it’s time to start looking at some potential targets for Sacramento.

I share some recent reports about Ben Simmons, Jerami Grant, Cam Reddish, Kevin Knox, Myles Turner, and Domantas Sabonis. Also, I recently went on a Chicago Bulls podcast to discuss the idea of trading Harrison Barnes. Included in this episode is a short clip from recording, with the return revolving around Patrick Williams.

If there are any fake trades that intrigue you, candidates that I did not mention, or players that you feel strongly Sacramento should stay away from, let me know!

I always appreciate people sharing their thoughts on the episode, the show in general, or whatever really! You can do that either in the comment section on this post or by reaching out on Twitter @Kings_Pulse.

The Kings Pulse podcast is available on all major listening platforms.

Subscribe: iTunes | Spotify
