1) How did you personally get introduced to the Kings?

In January of 1996, I had just come back from living in Greece and saw a Kings game on TV against the Boston Celtics. In typical Kings fashion, they had a huge lead and blew it on the road, setting me up forever in my Kings fandom.

2) Who’s your favorite Kings player currently on the roster? Favorite player of all time?

I love the heart and hustle of Richaun Holmes, he’s so fun to watch and his drive and motor is impressive. All time its Peja, he played in Greece when I lived there, and he was so smooth to watch play. I’m happy he got a ring although I wish it was with the Kings (don’t we all).

3) Could you give me one prediction about the team this season and one prediction about a specific player on the Kings this season?

Call me an eternal optimist but I think they’ll do better this year than most expect, mostly because I think Fox makes a huge leap and brings everyone along for the ride. The Kings have had some players with talent that just couldn’t make that leap, but I think Fox does. If they play with some speed they basically get an All-Star caliber player back in Hield too, and I think that will help.

4) Tell us how your business originally got started? Let’s hear your business superhero origin story!

I was working a dead-end job for a really bad boss and started thinking about doing something, anything, to get in a better spot. At the same time, we found out that my wife was pregnant. Unfortunately, we lost the baby fairly far along in the pregnancy and I really had an epiphany about how precious life is and our time here on earth, so I decided to take the leap and dive in. I named the company after him as a way to honor his memory. It was about a year and half of research and reading to get ready, learning about international shipping, exchange rates, and working with the right partners. In a beautiful twist of fate, two days after I placed my first order for our flagship elia extra virgin olive oil, we found out my wife was pregnant again, and we welcomed our baby boy Corbin in October.
