The Sacramento Kings host the Miami Heat for an early Saturday contest, tipping off at 3 PM PT. The Kings are still searching for the first win of the season, currently sitting at 0-4 and a fan base who is feeling their frustration rise. The Heat come to Sacramento also enduring a bit of a slow start to their season, sitting at 2-4. Nonetheless, the Heat expect to be in the playoffs this year, and are a talented team.
The Heat will be without Victor Oladipo and Omer Yurtseven, and Tim’s favorite Kings Legend Dewayne Dedmon is questionable as he deals with a non-Covid illness. The Kings expect to be at full strength, with only Kevin Huerter on the injury report. He’s listed as probable to play, but is dealing with shoulder soreness from a collision in the Grizzlies game.
When: Saturday, October 29, 3:00 PM PT
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, CA
TV: NBC Sports California
Radio: Sactown Sports 1140
For Your Consideration
The Heat Is On: It feels like these four losses have taken the wind out of the sails of many Kings fans. I worry what the level of fervor and/or apathy will be if the Kings suffer another loss. From the moment the schedule was announced, we knew this opening slate of games was going to be a challenge. Many of us thought the Kings would likely be 1-4 or 0-5 after these first five games. I still think the Kings squandered a chance to get a win in the Portland game, but the other losses feel to me like the Kings are simply losing to some really good teams. It doesn’t make it any more fun, and a team with playoff aspirations needs to eventually win some games against other good teams, but I’m not ready to jump off the cliff just yet. Miami is another tough test, and I likely won’t be jumping off the cliff Sunday morning if we lose this one, but it would sure be nice to see the team put it all together for 48 minutes and silence some of the concern.
Prediction
De’Aaron Fox stays great, Tyler Herro snarls at the Kings bench while the Heat trail by 5, after the game Jimmy Butler demands a trade to Sacramento.
Kings 126, Heat 122
It’s just us and that team from LA
That are left with no wins today.
If we can just beat
The Miami Heat,
That win really would make my day!
There was once was a team named the Heat,
whom the Kings usually fell to defeat.
An 0-5 stink
could drive us to drink,
JJ Pfister for all, make it neat!
I watched the Lakers lose yesterday.
That’s all I really came here to say.

October Nears End
Sacramento Fears More Dark
Miami Scares Me
SUDDENLY NO IMPACT (?)
Two winless teams left – will the Kings or Lakers be the last winless team?
Happy Advanced Tanksgiving my friends
At least the Kings have a shot at Wembanyama!
This is why there was no rush to extend McNair. He’s going to be available and willing to come back if the Kings will have him in June.
Between Vivek’s kids, Layden, Jason Williams, Wilcox, an AI algorithm, and McNair … I don’t know McNair is coming back … but they didn’t need to extend him in August.
Would you come back?
0-5 is gonna feel really agonizing
Miami had a TV show called Miami Vice
Sacramento had a TV show called….Eight is Enough.
What is the eight? Eighth seed? Eight wins for the season? Eight more seasons till the drought is over? Eight more head coaching changes?
Eight losses to start the season? Sigh…
