The Sacramento Kings remained undefeated in Summer League, beating the Dallas Mavericks 86-70 on Sunday. The Kings are a perfect 4-0 in Summer League so far. The Kings secured their spot in the finals by having the second-highest average margin of victory.
The Kings and Celtics will play Tuesday at 6 PM PT.
Sacramento may be without Chimezie Metu, who got into an altercation after a dangerous foul on Sunday.

The foul was assessed as a Flagrant 2, and both players ended up ejected. It wouldn’t be surprising if Metu is suspended from Tuesday’s game.
It was pretty lucky that the point differential helped us to secure the 2nd spot.
And this game would be broadcast on ESPN !!!!!!!!!
Good to let the world knows more about the Kings and D. Mitchell…….
Also, I can see both Louis King and Ramsey got 20+ pts each to help the team to win the Summer League Champion !!1
Let’s Go, Kings !!!
HK, your boy Metu is an Enforcer!
#Metu !!!!!
Just can’t wait for regular season to face Jonas Valanciunas !!!!!!!!!!!!
(We got Alex Len to back up Metu this time)
This may mean something or nothing at all for the regular season. I’m betting on the latter.
It has the same meaning as the last time the Kings won the SummerLeague Champioship.
But hey, it yielded us WCS with the number 6 pick in the draft the following year!
Ya know, I’m going to go out on a limb and predict Metu will not be playing in this game.
MALICE AT CAESARS PALACE
Sucks that we’ll likely lose Metu in the championship game.
Davion Mitchell, fresh off his NCAA Championship, is about to become a VSL Champion.
Pretty sure the next likelihood is an NBA Championship right after that.
*Pacific Division Champion, Western Conference Champion, then NBA Champion.
G-League Champion, Big 3 champion, then big baller brand champion.
Natural Progression
I understand that the NBA frowns upon tagging someone in the head with an elbow but Omoruyi had it coming. I can’t even be even slightly mad at Metu over that even though he is going to miss the SL championship game – at least it happened when the stakes were very, very low.
It’s all a matter of perspective.
If an opponent was swinging a fist at the faced of one of our prospects – while he was walking away – after a hard but awkward foul (I think he was just a bit late and couldn’t stop his momentum, but without malicious intent) we would be raging as hard as we did after the JV foul (which was intentionally dirty).
I understand Metu’s reaction in light of the JV injury, but Omoruyi had nothing to do with that.
You don’t get ejected for a flagrant 2 for a hard but awkward foul. You get a flagrant 2 and ejected because it was malicious. Watched the tape and I understand why he punched him.
‘Malicious’ is not part of the definition for a flagrant 2. Get your facts straight.
Nah bro. Omoruyi had it coming and anybody else who steps up. We got dawgs on the bench this year. Can’t wait for the season to start.
Suspension handed down:
Gat dammit
Big thank you to these dudes for helping Sac get into the championship game due to the points differential tiebreaker!

This has been Vivek’s plan all along! Plant “ex-Kings” around the Summer League in order to sabotage other teams to clear a path to the Kings 2nd Summer League title. Vivek is the real McGenius!
2014 VSL Champs – Ray McCallum, Benny Mac, Sauce Castillo, Eric Moreland…. Oh well just enjoy it folks.
Not only was Derrick Williams on that team, but he was a month younger than Ray McCallum. Hahaha
The Choke… I mean Coke Machine
Look at Vivek drifting away in Delusional thoughts of NBA grandeur…

Malone: “I hope this photo gets buried.”
Vivek: “This is history in the making.”
Paul Reed looks like a real player.
Metu let the dogs out
♫ Buddy, you’re a young man, hard man
Shouting in the street, gonna take on the world someday
You got blood on your face, you big disgrace
Waving your banner all over the place ♫
Boston, you may be tied for the most NBA Championships…
…but Sactown is about to get the most VSL Championships!

DC advise: Next time use METU hands!
“BOI-OI-OI-OI-OING”
!!
With a right left, right left you toothless
And then you say goddamn METU ruthless!
Chillin like a villain!
Disagree, the elbow is far superior as a weapon. Plus, you don’t risk breaking any metacarpals as you do when punching with the hand, especially bare knuckle. It would be a huge bummer if Metu broke his hand and was out of action while it healed
Amen.
Note to NBA: Metu doesn’t take any mess. And he’s going to be around a while.
Chimezie like Sunday morning!
Ok it was afternoon, but I am liking his play and think he’s definitely working his way into being a regular rotation big, especially if he can dial his 3 pt. shot in a little. Davion seems to be the talk of Summer League, Queta looks like he could eventually turn into a playable NBA big, King is still rounding out but I like his potential as a replacement for Justin Jackson and I liked E. Terry’s hustle and grit, I could see him getting called up, sooner if we didn’t have 8 centers on the team already.
Good on the summer squad, great showing for coach Jackson and coach Christie. If any of this parlays into anything tangible for the regular season squad I will be surprised but it has been a good showing out for the Sacramento squad.
Kings will tell fans that this ends their playoff drought.
Sacramento fans will believe them.
