It’s both. The coach is an idiot, and the players are not there for this to be a competitive team.

I’m not saying this is an above average team, but the reality is we’re a half game out of the 10th seed with this ragtag group. Still in the hunt. There’s SOME talent on this team.
A better coach would not have our defense ranked dead last and we would have stole a few more games earlier in the year. We’d be at least a .500 team.
Anything is possible, but a loss tonight turns into 4 game losing streak. The matter at hand is better teams are above us, but I still hope we get it. It’s a longshot, imo.
On pace to go 36-46 in an 82 game season. That’s not a good team, no matter how bad the coach is.
It depends whether u think Luke has maximized the talent and production of this team.
Which he has not, especially defensively and as a motivator to play hard every game.

if buddy has to do anything but catch and shoot, he sucks and his percentages tank. This team for either terrible coaching or lack of skill seems to ask him to do more than that. That’s why he sucks. He just isn’t a well rounded player at all

It never surprises me anymore, but it also never stops disappointing me how bad this team is. I really hope we find some way to trade buddy for a 3 and D guy, even a guy who can’t shoot that well. I’m pretty sure almost any team would take a guy like Thybulle over a shooting specialist who hurts your team if he doesn’t score 25 a night. I’m not blaming Buddy for our entire team’s struggles, but he is almost the only one who drags the team down if he doesn’t score in bunches. Sad fuckin team

Everybody expect Edwards to play like a veteran in all area’s and they all forget he is still 19 years old even today!!! This kid has crazy skill sets future superstar…reminds me of Kobe at 19 crazy skills low shooting percentage! Still love Tyrese but he is already 21 but I know he is a absolute key to the Kings future and he does so many things well we are blessed to have him…lets get on with the tank and pray for lottery luck!
The Kings bench scored 16 points, making McNair look a bit foolish (I bet CoJo and Bjelly would have done better). By contrast, T-wolves players off the bench scored a whopping 60 points (thanks in large part to Russell)!
McNair needed to be a bit bolder, for sure. Left too many pieces in place, thinking we were already”competitive”.
Complacency isn’t going to get this team anywhere. Let’s see if they maybe get that in the offseason. I’m not holding my breath.
If we go into next season with Barnes/Buddy, expect another sub 40 win season.

Fuck the Kings. Can we use expletives on this site? This organization can’t do anything right. I know the Kings Pulse podcast guys (who I highly enjoy) had to temper their negativity (seemed like they were getting pressured to be positive after the 5 wins or whatever) but their initial negativity with the trade deadline deals (or lack thereof) were totally valid and this team again is stuck in the worst position of not a playoff team and out of the top 5 picks in a strong draft. Fuck!
