This could have been a very short podcast, but inaction is action.

Good show and what I learned is the West , most teams probably got better , but Kings did not . Hope, good health allows team to hang on to a playoff spot (top 6 ) . Maybe a buyout player could help but real long shot .

Eh, how much better other Western Conference teams got remains to be seen. Even in Phoenix and Dallas, it’s not like Durant and Irving come without question marks of their own (both in the short and long term).

The margin of error for this team has always been razor thin. While any of the guys that were linked to the Kings prior to the trade deadline would have no doubt improved the depth of the squad, there was nobody that was reasonably acquirable that would have changed the equation when it came to the teams massive dependency on the availability of Fox and Sabonis.

Hard to say if they’ll manage to cling onto third for the rest of the year, but imo, a fall outside the top 6 would be a pretty significant implosion that would probably have more to do with the team itself rather than the teams around them making marginal improvements to their own rosters.

Kessler Edwards might turn out to be a nice addition. It’s interesting that by making the deal two days before the trade deadline, it’s not being discussed.

A number of commenters on this site were high on him as a draft prospect. Adds nice depth at the 3, and with a team option for next year, there is time to develop him for success in the team’s system.

i made a comment yesterday, the Nets have so many wings they can power a plane. I don’t think I’m wrong. Of all the teams that made moves, I like their’s the best. Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O’Neale, Cam Thomas, Cam Johnson, Seth Curry, Ben Simmons, Joe Harris, Nic Claxton (super valuable young big on a great contract), Edmond Sumner, Spencer Dinwiddie, Yuta Watanabe. I named almost all of their roster.

I like Plumlee more on the Clippers that I do on the Kings. As crazy as that sounds. The Clippers were the singular team I didn’t want the Kings to face in the 1st rd but that feels fated now. Not sure why. Of course I thought Plumlee might be traded for Holmes, too, yesterday. Shows you what I know.

I think OKC made a mistake not going after a big. Whether it was Richaun Holmes, or Zach Collins or whomever, they needed another big. If I were them, why would I rather have Saric instead of Holmes or Collins? If I were OKC, and I am not, I would have traded Bazely and Pokushevski for Holmes given their need, and, frankly, I would have done it to make Shai Gilgeous-Alexander happy. Shai is too valuable to piss off and tank every year like OKC has been doing. I really think OKC made a mistake there not adding a vet or two. Pissing off SGA is a very bad idea, and I feel like they are so busy thinking they are rebuilding

I get that people see Holmes as a bad contract….but jeesh, I think other teams have over thought this one because they want him on the minimum.

I don’t fear the Lakers in any way shape or form. I like what they did…..but they dug such a humungous hole in doing so that they have to leapfrog a bunch of teams to even get into the playin let alone the top 6. I do not fear the Lakers, and I really don’t care that they gave up a pick or got Vando/DLo/Bamba either. Bamba especially.

As always, enjoyed the podcast (gotten through about half of it now) guys. Keep ’em coming!

I think the Nets are in better shape than they were before in all honesty.

Do we know Dallas got better? I don’t think they did. Dinwiddie and DFS were contributors, and matched up well size wise on both sides of the floor. Bullock, Tim Hardaway Jr, and Jeff Green are going to have to over perform to get this team past the first round, I think, and probably by a lot, and they have to cross their fingers Wood doesn’t pout even more now that he is going to lose a few fga each game to Kyrie.

The Clips did get better, at least better balanced, though I think they are still undervaluing having a true PG.

OKC should have made some moves. At this point they are devaluing their own picks because teams know exactly how many they have, and you can’t roster that many. Overplaying their hand, I think.

As usual only skimmed the first few sentences but I have a question…..

How does a wing power a plane?
